On Saturday I rescued my adorable, yet slightly ill friend, Tulley (it’s her last name), from her home-style prison and took her to the Greek Festival. They fulfilled every promise they made: dancing, incredible food, fantastic artistic wares, etc. We hopped around from booth to booth people-watching and convincing ourselves we didn’t need to buy everything they were selling (that was pretty difficult).
The festival was set for North Boulevard Town Square, but, with the formidable weather forecast, Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church moved it indoors to the Belle of Baton Rouge.
Don’t tell Arzi, but this may have been the best chicken gyro I’ve ever had.
From the moment I saw these girls, I knew being at that festival made us cool. (Don’t you wish you had gone, now?)
How adorable is this blouse? I mean, really. Look at those buttons! The sleeves are my favorite. Obviously.
